If you’re looking for a simple way to surprise your loved ones for valentine’s day, you’re always safe with a nice breakfast. A classic yet tasty omelette with heart shaped pieces of toast and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice (or if you like something more fancy, champagne) should do the trick.
Here’s the how to for an omelette for two:
– 4 medium sized eggs
– 100gr diced bacon
– 75gr mushrooms (sliced)
– some Gruyère cheese (as much as you like)
– Salt & Pepper
First of crack the eggs into a mixing bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper. Beat well with a fork.
Melt a small knob of butter in a small frying pan. Add the bacon and the mushrooms and fry them. When the bacon is crisp and brown and mushrooms golden, bring to medium heat. Add your eggs and move the pan around to spread them out evenly. Cook your omelette and as a final touch sprinkle some cheese on top.
To make this dish more romantic cut some heart shapes out of toast with a cookie cutter. You can do the same with fruit if your cutter is small enough.
