I told you I was going to try to finish A Game of Thrones this week. Well, I’ve always found that reading comes hand in hand with either some wine, or a nice cup of tea or some hot chocolate. In any case, I need my blanket (only when I’m at home of course!). It really stimulates that cosy reading vibe, which I honestly need if I want to read for a long time when I’m at home. It’s different when you’re on a vacation and you’re lying in a chair by the pool, tanning and reading. Hours seem to fly by. You occasionally go swimming, but when you get back you pick up the book again.
At home it’s an entirely different story. I’m easily distracted because I love doing a lot of stuff. I like cooking, I love watching tv series with my mom or boyfriend (depending on which shift he has), I enjoy gaming a lot,… There’s tons of things I could do when I get home. And somehow, reading rarely slips into my mind.
That’s why I sometimes make a cozy corner, where I’ll want to disappear for a few hours into another world.
The thing I like most about reading is that you can forget about the real world for a while, and go on a great adventure from the comfort of your couch.
