I have been away from blogging for a while now…
In my last post on here I announced we were expecting a little one in June, and here we are! Almost half a year later, waiting for our baby boy to arrive. We haven’t really done much in the mean time. We went on a “last” trip to London and that’s about it…
My pregnancy leave started this week and I am beyond happy that we’ve been blessed with so many rays of sunshine the past few days… I’m enjoying some well deserved peace and quiet with Chloé before baby’s arrival. Our little thumper doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to come.. yet. But we still have an entire week before baby’s due date so we’ll find out soon enough when he’ll be here!
If you’re as curious as we are, the fastest medium via which you can find out whether or not baby has arrived is my instagram account.. I’ll keep you guys posted! 😉
I’m really happy the new year has begun.
I remember telling myself last year to stop and enjoy the little moments a bit more and I managed to do that 50% of the time 😉
We’re not entirely there yet, but all in all I’m satisfied with what 2016 brought us.
We haven’t been sitting around at home too much; we visited Bruges (twice), Waterloo, London and travelled around in Tuscany. As a lover of traveling and exploring I couldn’t be happier.
This year is going to be a bit different though! We’re planning another citytrip to London, but other than that I don’t expect we’ll travel anywhere this year. We’re saving up for our future home, and have a little one on the way, so needless to say, 2017 is going to be a BIG year, no matter what.
Baby is expected in June, and we’re really trying to relax and enjoy our last months as a family of two. There’s no stress yet, and so far I’ve managed to keep myself from buying anything. The only thing we’ve bought is furniture for the nursery.
Currently, we’re having fun planning a gender reveal party.
As for trying to have a healthier lifestyle… Let us say that I’ve also managed to do that 50% of the time 🙂 I’m trying a bit harder now that I have baby’s health to think about too, but could do with a bit more exercise. I’ve just been a couch potato during the first 3 months, because I was so tired all the time. Now it’s like I’ve got more energy, so I’m trying to get some exercising done everyday on the elliptical.
I can’t wait to see what else 2017 is going to bring us. But there’s no doubt it’s going to be filled with even more little moments to enjoy!
I wish you all a 2017 that’s filled with happy times spent with friends and family.
See you next time!
